
NorthSky Design was founded by two friends Tom Harrison and Tom Pannell with one simple belief: product development is a business function first – its purpose is to drive growth and profitability.
With over 30 years of combined experience in healthcare, product manufacturing, and commercial business leadership, they’ve witnessed the limitations of the traditional consultancy model. Too often, products stumble in production or fail in the market because manufacturing expertise, realistic timelines, and commercial considerations weren’t integrated early enough into the process. NorthSky exists to fix that.
Our Story
NorthSky’s founders began working with other companies after gaining experience on both sides of the table – running successful manufacturing businesses and overseeing the development of physical products. They saw that what many consultants and agencies lacked wasn’t ideas, but accountability and a deep understanding of how products are actually made.
From the beginning, NorthSky has been built on a core principle: product development is a commercial function. Like sales, operations, or finance, it exists to deliver value, reduce risk, and drive growth.
Today, NorthSky helps founders, SMEs, and investors bring manufacturable, scalable products to life – fast.
