Client: Quality Tips
Brief:
Re-design an existing wrist support prototype to make it manufacturable and cost-effective while maintaining performance and comfort.
Development Process:
- Analysed the original product and identified areas of high cost
- Substituted a cast resin hand rest with a cast rubber alternative, improving comfort, durability and reducing unit price
- Replaced a 3D-printed plastic frame with a sheet metal structure for scalability
- Refined foam elements with CNC cutting for precision and manufacturability
- Delivered a design ready for efficient mass production
Output:
A re-engineered wrist support that is cost-effective, manufacturable, and ergonomically improved.
